Welcome to Maths Tutor KT — specialist online Maths tuition for GCSE Higher and A Level students.

I provide small-group online Maths tutoring for GCSE Higher students aiming for Grade 7 or above, helping them build confidence, strengthen problem-solving skills, and develop the exam technique needed to achieve their best results.

Alongside GCSE support, I also work with A Level Maths students, helping them bridge the gap from GCSE, deepen their understanding of key concepts, and gain clarity on what is required to maximise marks in their exams.

All sessions are delivered online in a supportive learning environment, with a strong focus on clarity, confidence and progress.

My Story

I am an outstanding, fully qualified Maths teacher and GCSE examiner, with over 12 years of classroom experience teaching students aged 11–18 across KS3, GCSE and A Level Maths.

Before entering teaching, I spent 20 years working in the accounting profession and hold a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics, giving me a strong analytical background that I now bring into my teaching.

I gained my teaching qualification in an outstanding secondary school in Hertfordshire, where I taught for 10 years. I then worked as Head of Maths in a North London secondary school for two years, before choosing to focus on working more closely with students through online tuition — helping them build confidence and develop a deeper understanding of mathematics.

Alongside Qualified Teacher Status, I also hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS certificate.

As a highly experienced Maths teacher and GCSE examiner, I specialise in supporting GCSE Higher students aiming for Grade 7+ and A Level Maths students, helping them strengthen problem-solving skills and understand exactly what examiners are looking for.

My classroom experience across a range of ages and abilities has helped me develop effective teaching strategies that make complex concepts clearer and more accessible. I believe in fostering a love for mathematics through interactive learning, thoughtful discussion, and creating a supportive environment where students feel confident to challenge themselves.
